Evangelism2go Conference:
Held at Otaki Beach in the lower North Island New Zealand from the 7th to the 10th August 2009.
The conference was initiated by a group of people from Churches and out reach organisation through out New Zealand including OAC (Open Air Campaigners and EE (Evangelism Explosion).
The idea was to create an Evangelists Association with the view to get together a group of Bible based Evangelists that are chosen by Church leadership and those that are a part of the five fold ministries within the Church structure as shown in EPHESIANS Chapter 4 verse 10 to 16.
The purpose is to bring the Evangelists role back into line where he or she is not simply one who goes out and spreads the WORD but also setsin place a desciples ship programme that will nurture new believers in CHRIST so that they become and reach the fullness of the ministry the the LORD has called them into within the BODY of CHRIST.
It was a fantastic weekend of solid teaching that brought me personally to a fuller understanding of the BIBLICAL role of which I believe that I am called to.
For to long the Evengelistic scene has been dominated by the single person arriving on the scene and proclaiming the Gospel then leaving the Church with the aftermarth and sometimes with a very healthy bank balance.
By bringing the role of the Evangelist back into the truly Biblical arena this will not happen and those who choose to be in the Association will have to be a member of a local Church and recognised by the Church as a part of the five fold ministry in that local Church
